NAMIBIAN AMATEUR RADIO LEAGUE NAMIBIA AWARD

The Namibian Amateur Radio League announces the issue of an award known as the "NAMIBIA AWARD".

The award will be issued to any radio amateur who can submit proof of having effected two-way radio communication on or after 21st March, 1990 on any amateur frequency in any mode with 5 ( five) licensed radio amateurs permanently based in Namibia with a call sign with the prefix V51 or V5O.

Should the contacts all be in the same mode and/or on the same frequency, the award will be endorsed accordingly.

This award is available for contacts with Namibian stations. Endorsements for band and mode are possible.

Stations outside Namibia: proof of 5 confirmed QSOs (e-mail scanned QSL cards or certified copies by mail)

Fee: US$: 10.00

Namibian Stations: proof of 10 confirmed QSOs( certified copies or personal presentation of QSL cards)

Fee: N$: 10.00 NARL members

N$: 50.00 non NARL members



Applications for the issue of the award should be addressed to The Awards Committee,

Namibian Amateur Radio League,
P.O. Box 1100,
Windhoek,
Namibia

and must be accompanied by -

1. Originals (which will not be returned) or photo-copies of both sides of the relevant QSL cards confirming the contacts.

2. Cash or banker's draft for US$10.

3. The full names and postal address of the applicant.

Approximately 4 ( four) weeks should be allowed for the receipt of the award if the application is forwarded by airmail, otherwise a delay of approximately 8 (eight) weeks can be expected.

No correspondence will be entered into regarding any application.
