DIY..... and i am really bored by the fowl wx today.

The pictures tell's the story.
On the radio side we use any 50 Ω coax
Remember the antenna side we need ¼ Ψ coax or a multiple there of for the specific
bands, otherwise all efforts are in vain.
Brew, brew, brew....then chew

on VHF/UHF we make a cross yagi - vertical and horizontal selectable and then if you add a 1/4 or 3/4 wave cable to the one or other you create left hand or right hand polarization using a relay setup such as above

same with vertical antennas make it directional by adding lengths of cable or taking away etc

yes interesting topic Johan

we forget about relays sometimes

relays can make our lifes a bit easier at times, coax is still the quick way, but these days the fitting cost a arm and a leg
